What are Bylaws?
Bylaws are the written rules that guide how an organization operates. For the Mead Elementary PAC, the bylaws outline things like our purpose, how meetings and voting work, how board members are selected, and how decisions are made.
They help ensure the Mead Elementary PAC operates in a transparent, consistent, and fair way for the benefit of the Mead Elementary community.
Why they Matter
Our bylaws help:
Define the PAC's mission and goals
Provide clear expectations for leadership roles and responsibilities
Ensure decisions are made fairly and with parent input
Maintain good governance practices for our nonprofit organization

Note: The current bylaws were approved at the May 2026 PAC meeting. Initial revisions were proposed at the March 2026 meeting, additional revisions based on feedback were made and presented at the April 2026 meeting. A full change log is available here.
Previous Bylaws - From May 2012 through May 2026
Proposed updates are shared with the community before a vote so members have the opportunity to review them in advance and provide input.
